In Afrikaans, if you're going to give someone what-for, you tell them 'Ek sal jou wys waar Dawid die wortels begrawe het!' which translates to 'I'll show you where David buried the carrots!'

@WelshPixie One of my favourites: "Lass dir nicht die Würmer einzeln aus der Nase ziehen!" - "Don't require people to pull the worms out of your nose one by one"
I think the English equivalent is "spill the beans!"; it's something you say to someone you want to tell a story, but they only say things one by one and wait for more questions for details.
