Is there a Latin suffix or root that means store or shop or other sort of place to buy things?

@Anke It's given me a direction to look, at least! Although I'm coming to a conclusion of "no". Except there's GOT to be a suffix people stick on the names of places to give a fancy pretentious name for "place that sells X" in English, the Victorians loved that-- ooh, emporium!
