@Shutsumon Blogger is still a thing! It's free and very customizable. Despite much worry over the years, it's probably not going anywhere. Google uses it for its own blogs.

If you're able to do the technical bits, converting it to a static page and hosting on Netlify (which I use) might also work.

it is self-configured but it costs from $12 per year and you can hire an admin to transfer the site for like $30

@Shutsumon https://www.nearlyfreespeech.net only charges for what you use, which ends up being cheaper than a conventional hosting plan for many small websites. It's somewhat bare-bones, but it works.

@Shutsumon going off the other posts - this looks like Wordpess right? Should absolutely not be costing you $100/mo, that's way above market price even with a large amount of disk and transfer.

Unmanaged VPSes will be cheaper (especially disk and transfer) but require that you admin it yourself.

But even WordPress.com is $25/month on the highest starter plan. (Previous plan is 13gb storage)

I can easily suggest buy your name from a seller, such as 'namerheap' & host on gitlab for free with a private repo.

It's what I do for my site. I own my site name & only paid about £90 for 10 years, which I can easily add more to when I wanted
