Looking at the dojo's #aikido schedule and wishing I had nothing else to do in my life so I could go to jo and sword and all the open evenings....
I'd fall over in a heap. And not have any time to study.
@krumbukt I want to for its own sake, I really love the weapons work I've done so far. It's all thinking and patterns and precision, it's delightful.

I promised myself about a year ago to spend more time with what makes me happy, rather than work. Aikido was one of them, and I am really happy I made that descicion.
@krumbukt I've decided I can fit in an extra aikido class every other week, and I'm very pleased with the prospect.
It's funny, I tried it earlier in my life, but I wasn't in a place where I could do it well or take it seriously and the difference it makes to be able to focus on it is phenomenal.
@Wsteria I fully recommend going to some of the weapon passes, even if iregular. So much that comes directly from sword and jo into taijutsu :)
Everything strengthen from training with and without weapons :)
