I have a minor conundrum re.

Okay, so I have yarn left over from the projects and the parent projects, and I want to a small mitered square blanket like thus masondixonknitting.com/shop/mi but without so much striping and clashing.

Right now, I could easily do two squares-of-four:

Red/purple with black, and green/turquoise with offwhite.

And then a border.

That would make an approx. 20x 38 inch blanket, which is an interesting size.

OR I could pick 4 more colors (1/2)

(~ ), because I don’t think I have enough of any of the remaining to duplicate, say, yellow, orange, blue…. lime? And.. what? Plan ahead for four more projects? And have a blanket that would probably be 38"x 38" or so.

Thoughts?

@aldersprig I say make every square different and use up all your leftover bits of various colors, then connect all the squares into a blanket of whatever size the squares fit into. :D

@InspectorCaracal Ha. I’ll be at it for years. :-) But that’s a good idea.

@aldersprig well I meant just the yarn that you don't have enough of left for a full project, not ALL your yarn... XD

@InspectorCaracal Ha, okay. Well, I’l start with the squares of the stuff from the projects for this Xmas/for the baby and see how far I get. :-)

@aldersprig okay!

...basically the gist of my suggestion was just, the design is pretty clearly intended to be fairly irregular and chaotic, so don't worry about matching things too much? <.<
