Isle of Lewis, the whale's jawbone arch. A beached whale died on Bragar in 1920 (the harpoon you can see failed to detonate). No one knows who harpooned it.

Whaling companies failed to come to the little island to help, so the people of Bragar had to deal with the whale themselves and find uses for every part of the body. It took them about a year to finish.

My reading list for this week! Shiny new release THE TRAITOR GOD by Cameron Johnston in paperback, which I am SO excited to sink my claws into. TO KILL A KINGDOM in ebook. A beta read of J.B.Rockwell's latest work (yessss ❤️). Finally, the audiobook of THE GOLEM AND THE DJINNI.

My favourite airport. ❤️ There's bugger all shops here, but the security line takes three minutes from start to finish.

I thought this route was going to be about saving Yoosung from his gaming addiction. I was so wrong.

My partner surprised me with the CROSSPLAY comic by Niki Smith: a super cute, super queer adults-only graphic novel with a really strong sense of style and lighting. Look here for wonderful representation of: nerd romance, fandom, dorky anime jokes, enby, trans & queer characters, straight couples who like crossdressing, f/f romance, genderqueer romance, and badass people being badass and kind.
It's a really sweet, positive story that's kind to its characters

Pretty happy with my at-home #rollerderby (aka #pyjamaderby) progress last night. From zero one-foot skated balance to a solid four minutes on the left and threeish on right.

Just gotta get brave enough to lift that leg while rolling, now. Once I crack my moving one-foto glides, crossovers should come much more easily.
