@DialMforMara What makes it common? :P
No, it should be a rare!
Because it's a really unpleasant card, and I don't want everyone having it! And they will, because it's colorless, so why not?
@DialMforMara A 6 mana Ill-Gotten Inheritance that doesn't even gain you life or sacrifice for the last points of damage and is legendary and taking a turn off from developing your board at 6 seems less than stellar, even if your opponent gets stuck playing another 4 or 5 drop, isn't that great for limited, and I'm not sure I would worry about it outside of that.
4x Vicious Conquistador
4x Vampire Neonate
4x Tattered Mummy
4x Skymarch Bloodletter
4x Sanctum Seeker
4x Cruel Celebrant
4x God-Pharaoh's Statue
4x Ill-Gotten Inheritance
4x Godless Shrine
4x Isolated Chapel
@DialMforMara The thing is, that is a 6 drop you put into an aggro deck, just swap it for the vampire lord and the deck looks much better.
@Ice_In_Disguise okay, what about monoblack historic matters?
@DialMforMara What pay-offs would you use?
@Ice_In_Disguise ...I'm not actually sure it fits into my Cabal Paladin deck anymore.
We could go Modern: blue turbofog with Mechanized Production.
@DialMforMara Ok, now it sort of sounds like you might be onto some sort of sweet casual Tax & Taxes deck, throw in Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and...
@Ice_In_Disguise dammit, that doesn’t work either, it’s legendary :( Maybe being legendary is what allows it to be uncommon.
re: mtgWAR card
@lukesci Funnily enough, there are actually two cards that actually references the "legend rule" directly, both from Kamigawa block.
The other is Brothers Yamazaki.
