I've used the tool Twine.
I can say as much as it uses javascript so it's not so easy to turn it into an ebook.
But it is possible, since I don't use variables, they really are "just links" connecting different pages.
I like the idea of having it as an ebook too, I'm just nok quite sure how to do that.

I wonder if it would behave the same way if you made each entry a 'chapter' and used the internal linking feature for the choices...

I was wondering if it would work as an actual e-book format that people could download/buy to read on a device, clicking links to make decisions in the same way... ?
Tried a few other tools before, but I like the idea of really having a book to keep and 'play'.
