I want to share some pics of our GM/NPC area from one of our larp summer camps.
It's a 4 day camp with ~100 players aged 13+. Usually 4 GMs and ~10 NPCs.
You can see our props, plot items, costumes and the whiteboard of that days timeline.
It just shows how much work and planning this is - not just some people showing up goofing around. (not showed: make up station, downtime relax area, private wardrobe).
A well prepared GM area is one key to a successful game.

@InspectorCaracal these camps takes months to prepare. And that's only the rpg stuff, not even the practical aspect like food, sleeping arrangements etc.
But of course this is a lot more than "just" one day events.
@InspectorCaracal @nuhn There is a certain terror that occurs right after you call "Lay on" where you realize that you just unleashed ~100 crazy gamers armed with plumbing based weaponry on each other and ultimately you are responsible for what ever they do
@InspectorCaracal @nuhn I don't run LARPs any more because it's damn near a full time job that you pay money to be able to do
@InspectorCaracal @nuhn if I won a billion dollars I'd build a castle to live in an a LARP site to rule.
I'd still hire folks to run the damn thing, though.
@nuhn I've always thought GMing a LARP must be incredibly difficult. GMing a normal RP is hard enough, having to actually STAGE everything...!
