something peaceful https://youtu.be/w5DTYAx5fMc
There was a silence that reached the horizon.
Humanity had long abandoned the mall; in fact, the building was emptier than it was when it was first constructed.
Except in the center of the food court; there laid a mannequin's hand. Something had built a nest in its palm.
The dry fountain was home to a school of ghostly fish.
Within the silence, if you had the Art, you could hear splashing and every wish ever made there.

I often capture pieces like this along the way as part of my process (and as a memory aid!)
That's an electric chromatic dulcimer that I built. You're also hearing but not seeing some ukulele and bass. Near the end, it gets extra geeky with one of my experimental gourd flutes.
Every last atom on this planet was either forged by nuclear reactions deep inside long dead stars, or was created by the birth of the Universe itself. That includes the atoms which make up every pebble, every oak tree, every lettuce leaf, and every human.
The Universe isn't merely some faraway thing which you only see when you look into the sky at night. It's also you.
You share that in common with everything you've ever seen, and everyone you've ever met.
Perhaps you would consider reading my book where the bad guys aren't all that bad -- they just live in an underground crypt raising the dead and making plans for world-domination they'll never enact.
It also has a pet zombie, a vitriolic friendship, and a terribly posh historian who's delighted to be here

“Which of the station's systems still need improvement?” The coordinator looked around expectantly at the group of assembled specialists.
“Oxygen and carbon cycling, air and water purification, and nutrition," an engineer read from some extensive notes in a well thumbed notepad.
A psychologist cut in, "we also need to consider the effects of being in space for so long.”
“I have a suggestion," said a botanist, a potted strawberry plant in her hands.
a chill mountain dulcimer thing from a little while ago, written after driving by some abandoned roadside attraction in the Great Smokey Mountains
Have I mentioned that my librarians-and-necromancy fantasy is out now? Spooky-sweet and full of warmth and weirdness.
